I must say, I am so glad that I didn’t do something ridiculous like pick the best comment, because y’all were amazing! Seriously, I’m going to compile your comments into a blog post or two because I was really touched by your reflections on your sewing heritage and was very inspired by your tips for integrating sustainability into your crafting.
Anyway, the winner of the Alabama Stitch Book is Stacy of Stacy Sews, who recycles clothing that no longer fits into other usable and useful items. I loved her tip for even re-using the pockets of old jeans for tote backs–that’s too clever!

In my opinion, the randomizer couldn’t have picked anyone more deserving than Stacy! All of us would have loved to win, but I must say that Stacy will surely get the most mileage out of that book. She is amazingly talented and awesomely productive.
